Returning Love: Chapter 8

He officially hated shopping now. He hated how he had become a dress-up toy for Yugi and Solomon to mess with. He hated how after they picked out the clothes HE didn’t want and made HIM carry them. (poor Yami...haha)

He officially wanted to die…again…

Yugi and his grandfather had dragged him to the mall, eager to dress him up like an idiot.

And he just hated how evil Yugi’s smile got whenever he let it through the mind link how much he hated this.

This was the 8th store they had been in and it seemed like all the others, though this one seemed to specialize in darks and gothic style jewelry. The sign above the spider-webbed doors said ‘Hot Topic.’

Solomon said he would wait outside, he didn’t want to go into the dark looking shop, so Yugi dragged in his darker half and started pressing clothes against him, seeing which colours looked better, black or black?

He sighed and while Yugi went looking for some more clothes, he looked around, seeing studded wrist-bands, band t-shirts, anime t-shirts, gothic jewerly, collars, backpacks, pants, belts, and an array of music and other things he didn’t have time to glance at as he was pulled into the single dressing room.

He stood with Yugi in the small space as he watched the boy go through clothes, looking for the best one for the spirit to try on.

Shaking his head, he sighed and waited for Yugi to leave before he changed into one of the outfits. He came out a few minutes later wearing a black long-sleeve shirt with a red denim vest and tight dark blue jeans. He rolled his eyes at the looks he was getting from some of the other people in the store, but raised an eyebrow at the look Yugi was giving him.

‘Like this Hikari?’ he asked through the link. Yugi didn’t answer just nodded his head. Yami smiled alittle “So what’s next?” He asked long ago accepting his fate.

“This one.” Yugi said smiling as he followed Yami into the dressing room and started to sort through the outfits to find the one he wanted to see most.

Unfortunately, in the process he tripped and fell onto Yami’s strong chest. Fortunately the older being caught him and held him close.

Amethyst stared up into crimson as the two boys locked eyes. Yami’s arms tightened a bit more around his hikari. The two slowly moved closer to each other, their lips coming closer and closer when…

BANG!

“Hey hurry up in there! There’s people waiting ya know!!” Someone shouted on the other side of the door. Yugi blushed and Yami glared at the door. He leaned down and whispered close to Yugi’s ear, “Let’s just buy them and return them if they don’t fit.” He suggested his breath tickling the boy’s ear.

Yugi nodded and left the dressing room first with Yami trailing behind him. Standing in front of the door was a young boy barely sixteen with a piecring through his eyebrow, bottom lip, and all around his left ear. His hair had red and blue streaks going through the short-cropped tresses.

He raised the studded eyebrow and smirked. “Sorry to interrupt your make-out session boys, but I gotta get these tried on.” He winked at them as he waltzed into the dressing room.

Yugi blushed and Yami looked anywhere but the dressing room behind him. They bought the clothes along with a few accessories.

As they left, Yugi grabbed Yami’s hand and held it as they walked out of the store, where they saw Solomon waiting.

Yugi led them over to him and together the three left the mall. Walking back to the Game Shop, they stopped for ice cream effectively using up all the money Solomon had in his pocket.

Yugi stared up at Yami as the pharaoh ate his chocolate cone. (imagine that ^.^) Today was shaping up to be one of the best he had had in the longest time. He couldn’t remember a time in the last 2 years where he had smiled so much.

As they reached the Game Shop, Solomon went to get some clean sheets and blankets for the guest room, while Yugi and Yami put away the latter’s new clothes.

As Yugi hung up the last of the clothes he turned and found Yami laying on the bed watching him. Smiling brightly he laid next to him on his side.

“Thank you for all the clothes, though I think some of them are alittle excessive.” Yami said smiling and closing his eyes. He was getting tired, coming back from the afterlife, going to Joey’s, coming home and preforming a spell that took him out of his body, and spending the last hour walking around shopping had tired him out.

He was slowly falling asleep as Yugi snuggled up to him. Opening his heavy lids he found Yugi right next to him, Yami smiled and draped and arm over the boy and kissed his forehead.

Yugi giggled when he found Yami falling asleep. He scooted closer intending to kiss him, he was surprised when Yami opened his eyes and put his arm around him and kissed him on the forehead. He smiled though and watched as the former pharaoh’s eyes shut once more and he fell asleep…
